West-East Tram update
Update to a tram blog that I posted earlier 16 Dec 2018.
I finally found an update on the Nice Tram Line 2 section near the Nice Airport. I couldn’t find it in English, so I translated a story that I saw on a French website.
Here is a gist of the story.
“On 14 December 2018, Nice officials inaugurated Tramway Line 2 for the section from the Airport Terminals to Grand Arenas.
The new West- East Line provides travelers rapid access from Terminal T1 and Terminal T2. The Grand Arenas – Airport link is completely free to the rest of the line. The price of the airport ticket is the same as the entire D-Azur Line. Connecting at the city center to the airport that’s enough to make travel easier and create a desire for travel.”
As you can see from the picture above, a traveler can now walk out of the Nice Airport from either Terminal 1 or 2, take the tram to the Grand Arenas station and then connect to Magnan. Not quite all of the way to the City Center, but it’s a great start!!
Three and a half months from now and I’ll be on the tram.
